Overview
Indico Resources Ltd. is a Vancouver based mineral exploration company focused on the discovery and development of porphyry copper deposits in Peru - one of the most prolific mining districts in the world. The company is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol "IDI" and on the OTCQX under the symbol "IDIFF".Porphyry deposits reportedly contribute up to 60% of the world's copper production and more than 95% of the world's molybdenum production. Peru is host to multiple large porphyry copper deposits including the large Toquepala Mine, Cuajone Mine, Cerro Verde Mine, the Quellaveco Project and the recently discovered Zafranal porphyry system located in the Southern Peru Copper Belt region. Indico's Ocaña project lies in the northwest corner of this copper belt and preliminary work indicates the possible existence of a porphyry system.
